For the 2018 season the team at Camp Hough is looking for talented professionals with knowledge, experience and certification in team building, group rentals, facilitators, rope course and lifeguard staff.

Individuals will also be required to obtain their CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications prior to their first day of employment.  GLOW YMCA maybe able to assist in this process.

Availability

Spring/Fall Facilitators minimum wage +/hour, hours vary per week

We are looking for individuals with a variety of skills to facilitate the different programs we offer during our Spring and Fall seasons.  As a program facilitator, you will be working hands-on with school groups, girl scouts, corporate retreats, and more.  Whether you have years of experience, or you are just starting out in the field, we can be the perfect place for you to grow and succeed in the Outdoor Education and Leadership world.  We are looking for individuals that are passionate and hard workers.  Experience in life guarding, archery, team building, and/or belaying is a plus!

 

Day Camp Counselor minimum wage +/hour, hours vary

Day Camp Counselors must be 17 or older, and are not required to live on camp property.  They will work between three and six hours a day, Monday-Friday.  Day Camp Counselors are responsible for the care, supervision, and morale of all campers they are assigned to.  These employees must have reliable transportation if living off property.  If you choose to live on camp, pay and hours may differ.  Previous experience working with school age children is preferred.

 

Program Counselor negotiable with experience

Program Counselors will be responsible for facilitating specific activity areas.  These programs include, swimming lessons, canoe/kayaking, archery, rock climbing/high ropes, team building, gardening and arts & crafts. Program Counselors should have previous experience in the area they are applying to facilitate.  These individuals will also be assigned to a cabin alongside a Cabin Counselor. When not facilitating their assigned program area, they are expected to spend time with their cabin group and assist the Cabin Counselor in supervision.
